 The backbone of the Hawkeye Fuel Management mobile fueling network consists of communication between your company mainframe, the driver, and the computerized mechanisms of the equipment. Truck computers receive fueling order/instructions from headquarters. Drivers then use portable computers to control all functions remotely. Meter tickets and reports are generated by onboard printers and are then made available via secure Internet access. By removing the employee from the position of control, the railroad fueling plan is protected from human error, and fuel issues can be accurately mapped to work plans—allowing them to be varied according to the demand, and locomotive flexibility within those plans.
